“The Pool Mam” describes an inferiority fat and a swimming national athlete who is the ex-sport star were stimulated by the desire to survive and to open some alternative swimming lessons together. In this thirty-minute-long film, the main actor took "water" as a teacher, and learned to get rid of self-restraint to grow. The writer challenges the common domestic comedy style, represents human nature in a funny and clever way, and objectively describes the story that ordinary people eager to break frustrations, but repeatedly are trapped into absurd situations. This film use Finnish director Aki Kaurismak’s comedy works for reference. Taiwanese short film clips have few opportunities to be released in commercial movie screen, instead in film festivals. It is a huge challenge to shoot the film to get an audience positive feedback since this is not a mainstream film style of expression. The essay inspected the film under the outline of “Three Act Structure“and described the producer’s perspective on choices of the photography, color, graphic design and music. This essay analyzed how to guide the audience into in inner world of the fatty and the coach, so-called "Life failure group", in the film. This film gained the couple honors of a grant from the government. As a producer, I wrote down all the details and the examinations of the film production process in this essay. Hope by presenting the film “The Pool Man” at the end of the semester, as the learning integration and a new start.
