We rarely stop to notice and explore our body senses as life goes on, when we can control our own physical movement at will. “Differing from the Norm” is an elaboration on the author’s realization of and thought ensued from “corporeality”, after experiencing the impact of disease, searched and explored by means of fiber arts work. “State of disease” and “medical equipment” objectified the author’s viewpoints on corporeality, and took body, mentality, and life experiences as subjects for creation; among medical equipment, capsules and swab were combined with fibers as visual elements; and the display was in forms of Braille and guide-tile applied by the sensory impaired, and the medical-used drape applied as partition to the outside; to express rationally by techniques of fiber arts combined of double weave, plain weave and stitching. Repeated manual working had given vent to interior feelings and a chance to face and realize the essence of being, with one’s swaying physical condition, to comprehend self-life.
