The subject of this thesis is to design and implement a high efficiency power supply which efficiency can meet 80 Plus Platinum specifications. The power factor is more than 0.8 and current THD is less than 25% under 10% load conditions and thereby meeting the Code of IEC 61000-3-2 Class D. This power supply is composed of two stages. The front stage, AC-DC stage is the power factor corrector and DC-DC stage is half bridge LLC resonant converter. PFC uses average current mode control and has better PF and low THD than peak current mode. DC-DC stage uses half bridge LLC resonant converter, as switch of primary side turns on can achieve zero-voltage switching (ZVS) and secondary side can achieve zero-current switching (ZCS), and decrease switching loss. The output gains greater than 1 characteristic as the LLC operates in the region 2. It can help us to increase the hold up time and reduce the bulk capacitor size and capacitance. In secondary side, MOSFETs are used for synchronous rectification to further reduce conduction loss. Finally, a 600W power supply with 12V/50A is implemented. The efficiency curve will meet 80Plus Platinum standard. PF and harmonics meet IEC61000-3-2 Class D.
