The Study of the Relationship between Workplace Bullying and Turnover Intention of National Immigration Agency Staffs – the Mediating Effect of Positive Psychological Capital

Bullying in the workplace was becoming more serious, causing employees’ undue impact of the physical, mental and even resignations. The purposes of this study were to explore the impacts of the current circumstances of the National Immigration Agency staffs workplace bullying as well as the consequences due to the workplace bullying, and to research the relationship in between by adding variables of positive psychological capital.The study was thoroughly studied through related literatures to develop the framework of this research and questionnaires, and the trust of survey were contributed by statistic solution of project analysis as well as reliability and validity analysis. Samples were based on National Immigration Agency staffs, a total of 370 questionnaires were distributed,net of invalid questionnaires received,which come out 315 valid questionnaires and reached the return rate of 85.13%. In this study, multiple statistical analysis were applied such as descriptive statistics, t test, one-way ANOVA analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis and Tukey method of post hoc comparisons, and conclusions and suggestions are provided as follwoings: 1. There were significant differences of bullying in the workplace caused by different ages, years of service and duties. 2. The different levels of education and duty showed significant differences in turnover intention. 3. Different gender, age, marital status, level of education, years of service and duties showed significant differences in positive psychological capital. 4. There was an apparent positive correlation between workplace bullying and turnover intention. 5. There was an apparent negative correlation between positive psychological capital and turnover intention. 6. There was a partly apparent negative correlation between the variables of workplace bullying and positive psychological capital. 7. Turnover intention was predictive due to workplace bullying and positive psychological capital. 8. Positive psychological capital caused a partial intermediary effect to workplace bullying and turnover intention.
