A Study on Innovative Business Model of Cleanup and Disposal of Waste Lubricants Industry–Taking Company S as an Example

According to an analysis of the global environmental industry report from the U.S. environmental industry research authority Environmental Business International (EBI), Waste Management, in all the environmental protection industry is the largest category and has more than $ 200 billion global market capitalization. Based on 2011 statistics within the system permit registration from Environmental Protection Administration Executive Yuan(EPA), Taiwan, there are 2679 firms which have done clearance and disposal of waste recycling related businesses. In 2012, waste lubricants has deregulation from EPA and is divided general waste and industrial waste by generating source. It is a significant change in the operating environment to within the system legitimate for cleanup and disposal of waste lubricants industry. Facing on dynamic environment, the aim of this research tries to help cleanup and disposal of waste lubricants firms to keep competitive and advantage and further create innovative business model. This research explore is how to change the management style and create innovative business model in faced with changes in operating environment through depth interview by four managers in case company which are obtained legal permission in clear、disposal and recycling. The empirical results have show that government policy factors have a great influence of operating environment and business transformation on cleanup and disposal of waste lubricants industry, even the only major factor. Based on the impact of government policies, case company has Innovative approaches in market、product、service and manufacturing process on the strength of experience, and make threats into opportunities through its innovative business model.
