Popis: | 101 In the late 19th century, the music in Europe was influenced by the national consciousness of the French Revolution. From 1860 to 1890, “Nationalism in Music” was formed and then developed. Composers from different countries started to be famous, and they united national and cultural elements such as dance, paintings and folk songs together into their musical works. Falla, an important Spanish piano composer, was also influenced deeply. During the period from the 19th century to the early 20th century, Falla’s works contained many materials relevant to ethnic characteristics, in which people could feel the Spanish passion and vitality as if the sun did. Living in Paris from 1906 to 1919, Falla finished his first piano works “Pièces espagnoles” orderly named Aragon, Cubana, Montañesa and Andaluza. Falla integrated Spanish folk songs, canto jongo, guitar techniques and Spanish traditional rhythms into these four songs. To present the characteristics of the dance rhythms, Falla used many triplets. As for the intensity, the four songs covered a wide range from fortisissimo to pianissimo. Moreover, the structures of these four songs were not lengthy but refined. It was not difficult to figure out that these four songs ended in a pianissimo. This study was conducted to discuss the background about Falla’s “Pièces espagnoles” and its music playing techniques. Moreover, through learning Falla’s growth environment, learning background, composing styles and the development of Spanish music, we could get a better understanding of Spanish music styles and its characteristics as well as Falla’s “Pièces espagnoles”. It was hoped that by doing this, our musical performance could be more dilignet and skillful. |
