Popis: | 101 The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of social skills program with the multi-media and social stories for training students with intellectual disabilities in an elementary school.A multiple probe design across behaviors of single subject research was used in this study,including three phases:baseline、intervention and maintenance.The experiment lasted for 11 weeks.The two students with moderate intellectual disabilities in elementary school participated in this study.The effect of intervention and maintenance of this program were identified for three social skills:(1)greeting, (2)praise others, (3)appropriate expression of emotion.Pictures and audio files were incorporated into the nine social stories used in this study.The social stories were taught using power-point slides and role playing. The target behaviors were observed in simulated situations.According to the purpose of this research and the result of data analysis,the major consequences of this study were inducted as follows: 1.Social skills program with the multi-media and social stories showed the immediate effects and the maintenance effects in improving the skill of greeting for students with intellectual disabilities in elementary school. 2. Social skills program with the multi-media and social stories showed the immediate effects and the maintenance effects in improving the skill of praising others for students with intellectual disabilities in elementary school. 3. Social skills program with the multi-media and social stories showed the immediate effects and the maintenance effects in improving the skill of appropriate expression of emotions for students with intellectual disabilities in elementary school. According to the aforementioned findings,the research provided some applications for the learning guidance and the further researches were recommended.
