| Popis: | 101 This thesis is about the music ideas and writing skills of two works by the author, the septet Change in 2012 and the Work for Viola Solo in 2011. Both of these two works were inspired by the composer’s personal experiences. These experiences all refer to how the composer conceives time in music. As also a listener and a performer, the experiences were presented through these two works, especially the composer’s personal experience about delaying which was caused by procrastination and the thoughts which came from studying the literature about procrastination. This thesis consists of five parts. First, the resemblance between time and music is discussed in the article. Second, the composer’s experiences and compositional ideas are described. How time related to the procrastination in daily life, so as the delay situations that might happen in music are explained, and discussed from performing and composing points of view consequently. The music ideas and writing skills of these two works are discussed in detail in next two parts. The author’s personal opinions about time and music, especially procrastination, which came out while composing the two works were included in the conclusion. |
