A study of learning effects toward a digital teaching platform - exemplified by class c skill test on computer-software application

In the 21 century, information is fully popularized and it’s the generation filled with abundant Internet resource. Since the progress of information technology¸e-Learning changes the traditional learning environment into a novel environment. People can learn anytime and anywhere immediately with all mobile equipment to fit in with the modern society. Moreover, it breaks the limiting time and space of traditional learning environment. Thus, the learning environment becomes more independent and individualized. The purpose of the study is to investigate the effectiveness and feasibility of e-Learning applied in the course of exemplified by class c skill test on computer-software application. Besides, the study also examined whether there were significant difference in learning styles of the students. First, the study selected a digital teaching platform – eClass, and set up e-learning materials. Then 98 vocational high school students are divided into two groups—the experiment group and control group. The control group are given traditional instruction in computer classroom;while the experiment group are given traditional instruction in computer classroom and the usage of the digital teaching platform—eClass. The experiment lasted for six weeks while there are four hours during one week. As a result, both groups with different learning styles were tested to see the diversity of learning achievement, the evaluation for course learning satisfaction of experiment group. The conclusion of this study showed that using different teaching strategies on learning achievement was significant different. The experiment group students had high course learning satisfaction and learning attitude. Finally, suggestions were proposed as references for the follow-up studies.
