Popis: | 101 Application of teaching blogs to education has become more and more common. Although the number of teaching blogs has been increasing significantly, relatively very few blogs can successfully attract teachers and motivate them to continuously use those blogs. In order to motivate teachers to continuously use teaching blogs, this study adopted Bhattacherjee’s post-acceptance model of information system continuance and proposed a conceptual model to examine the moderating effect of voluntariness and habit on teachers’ continued use of teaching blogs. The proposed research model was empirically validated using a longitudinal survey of the use of teaching blog among teacher subjects. The research model explained 48% of the variance in continuance intention of teaching blog and 55% of the variance in continuance usage of teaching blog. Our findings indicate that perceived usefulness, confirmation, and satisfaction positively impact teachers’ intention to continue using teaching blogs. The level of perceived voluntariness and habit has a positive impact on the intention to continue using teaching blogs directly. Perceived voluntariness was found significantly moderating the relationship between continuance intention and continuance usage. The implications of the findings and future research directions are discussed. |
