Popis: | 101 The Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) is a combination of Activated Sludge Process and physical filtration process. The membranes can substitute for secondary sedimentation to solid-liquid separation, and can improve MBR sludge concentration and microbial activity. MBR can also operate at longer sludge retention time that is advantageous for nitrification. MBR technique can be applied in the treatment of domestic wastewater, industrial wastewater, semiconductor industry wastewater, and now has become an attractive and competitive choice. In this study, the PVDF membrane with pore size of 0.03 μm was used as the ultra-filtration module. Seeded sludge in the MBR was collected from the recycled wasted sludge of Taichung wastewater treatment plant. The influent with COD concentration of 300 mg/L, and NH3-N concentration of 17 mg/L was used to simulate the domestic wastewater. Using continuous aeration and intermittent aeration two different operating modules, samples were collected from the effluent of the MBR and from the reactor for NH3-N and TKN analysis. The results indicated that the average NH3-N removal was 97 % with the removal efficiencies at the range of 95~100 %, when the MBR was operated at continuous-aeration module. However, it was 90 % ( 69~99 %), when the MBR was operated at intermittent-aeration module. Changing aeration conditions, NH3-N removal efficiency was not stable in MBR system, resulting in lower overall treatment efficiency. |
