The Effect of Transformational Leadership on Organizational Citizenship Behavior: A Media Variable on Perceived Organizational Support

Popis: | 101 This study not only discusses how transformational leadership influences organization citizenship but also verifies perceived organizational support as an intermediary effect between transformational leadership and organizational citizenship behavior. In order to understand whether transformational leadership permeates perceived organizational support thereby affecting the mechanism of organizational citizenship behavior, this study investigated seven organizations. A survey was conducted sampling officers and employees from manufacturing industry, service industry, and government organization in Hsin Chu County with 309 effective questionnaires collected. The result of this survey demonstrate : (1) Transformational leadership is positively related to organizational citizen behavior; (2)Transformational leadership is positively related to perceived organization support; (3)Perceived organizational support is positively related to organizational citizenship behaviors; (4)Perceived organizational support has positively partial mediate effect between transformational leadership and organizational citizenship behaviors. Based on the above findings, we explain their meaning in management and further present a proposal of future research. |
