Grinding the ink slab stone needs to go well. Ink stones can produce fine and even ink particles, controlled light or dark shades of ink, and are noiseless. The ink produced takes longer to dry.Carving is a fusion of life, history, culture, and creation. The production of Luohsi ink stone started around the same time when culture of Chinese characters circulated into Taiwan. Education systems and academies for classical learning are established and then develops into the imperial examination system. Later, the imperial examination system was abolished. The education system progressed and new kinds of stationary are invented. Tools for calligraphy, writing brush, ink, paper, and ink stone, become teaching tools for calligraphy.Calligraphy curricula designed according to government education policy does not exist anymore. Now the tools of calligraphy, writing brush, ink, paper, and ink stone, are left only for calligraphic art creation. This thesis promotes the cultural Luohsi ink stone. It has incorporated cultural calligraphy art and poetry as a crucial artistic handicraft in the Ink stone Industry through creative new strategies of TRIZ.The creative principle of TRIZ is incorporated into ink stone carving. It makes ink stone become artistic handicraft, to be included in the category of cultural wealth and in part of culture industry.
