Building material from production, erection, demolition to disposal is not only using lots of natural resources but also returning the waste emission to the environment. For this point of view, it can be seen that the importance of material’s choice to the process of construction environmental loading. Now various countries and organization are using LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) for establishing community policies and ordinances. By contrast, LCA is usually aimed at company and products in Taiwan. The related research of LCA most is focus on carbon dioxide emission and energy consumed of building causing the greenhouse gas emissions. It is surprisingly excluded others pollution factors and the damage assessment on human health, ecosystem quality, and resources. Furthermore, the standard of green building and green material in Taiwan are unitary, but also lake regionalization and flexibility. Since we know the importance of environmental loading, this research is applied a popular, universal and transparent LCA tool of SimaPro software to explore the architecture tectonic of materials and construction. The research is based on the common building material’s environmental loading of low-rise housing in Ohira Waterloo Village. And combining with Building Information Model, which can helping to reduce the enormous workload of LCA’s inventory analysis step .The aim is to assist local designers in establishing a self-assessment for the environmental coordination before the process of construction.
