Effects of LED Lighting on Visual Performance and Fatigue for Float Glass Inspection Application

Popis: | 101 This study investigates the effects of LED lighting on visual performance and visual fatigue for float glass inspection application. A statistical completely random design is utilized with five LED colors :[red, green, yellow, warm white, and white], and two background color:[black and white]. The dependent variables are searching time of targets and items in a subjective questionnaire. The ANOVA and Duncan analysis show that:(1)The color of light and background has significant effect on visual performance and visual fatigue. The interaction has significant effect on visual performance, but there is no significant effect on visual fatigue. (2)The results indicated subjects had higher performance in LED color: white; and background color: black .The subjects do not perform inspection work under red light. The subjects do not like to perform VDT work under the red light. Based on these finding, the designers can adopt different combinations of light colors and illumination levels to promote operators’ visual performance and prevent visual fatigue effectively when designing VDT workstations. |
