A study for the tour guides with on-job-training needs-A case for the members of Taiwan Tourism Service Association

Popis: | 101 This study aimed to discussion the tour guides on-job-training needs. The subjects of study are the members of Taiwan Tourism Services Association who obtained the tour guides license, and with led the tourist groups experienced. In this study, using the method of convenience sampling, there are 385 valid questionnaires in 389. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, factor analysis, ANOVA analysis, and t-test. The results are as follows: 1. Most of tour guides were female, 25 years old, married, with a college degree, non-tourist related field, non-experienced with touring before as a tour guide, work experienced and obtained the tour guide license less than a year, touring less than 10 times a year and each time less than 3 days, every month touring less than 5 days, and the monthly income from touring less than NT10,000. 2.The tour guides on-job-training needs were "health knowledge", "Taiwanese cuisine", "professional skills", "safety knowledge" and "Taiwan''s landscape." 3. Tour guide on different background have different on-job-training needs. According to the research findings, this study recommends are as follows: 1.Different training courses for cthe tour guide with different background; leisure department in collage can increase cooperation with industry, government and academia; links with medical institutions to improve medical care abilities, to increase touring apprenticeship. 2. Expanding the object of study; attribute content to increase personal background; demand for the tour guides, planning appropriate courses. |
