The mobile phone consumption behavior research on higher grade student of elementary school-an example of Taoyuan County

| Popis: | 101 The mobile phone has become an important tool for communication between people. More parents let their children use the phones for the considerations of security and communicating with their children conveniently. Mobile phone has become the necessaries of common people’s life. The purpose of this study is to understand and discover the mobile phone consumption behavior of higher grade students of elementary school. This study sampled higher fifth and sixth grade students of elementary school in Taoyuan by stratified sampling method. The results of this research includes: 53.3% of higher grade students own a mobile phone for the purposes of playing music/video, internet surfing and playing games. The age of users tends to younger and younger; there is a significant difference in different grades, but no significant difference in different genders and family income; children''s mobile phone consumption behavior is affected by classmates and friends; most of the purchase behavior of children tends to frugal and practical and the decision of mobile phone purchase is made by parents. The results of this study could offer a reference for future researches and empirical applications. |
