This thesis is to establish automated bio-system include a sensing magnetic fluid, magnetic beads, front-end and digital chips. Design a digital circuit to control the motor, switches of microfluidic also the back-end signal processing. The digital circuit handles from the automatic calibrating algorithm as well as program gain amplifier control, to digital signal and the LCD display. Because of the metabolic syndrome, the concentration of adiponectin in the human blood can be the key index. The normal concentration of adiponectin is 2-20ug/ml, so the advantage of magnetic labels immune system method becomes more important. To integrate the magnetic sensor designed by our lab does measurements. In the other hand, using commercial Hall sensor measures the magnetic fluid in order to achieve magnetic label measurements. This study completes a digital chip via TSMC 0.18 um process, and this is an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) using VLSI technology. It can reach the small size, high speed and low cost advantages. At the last, this chip can work on our system, In order to achieve the portable system.
