Popis: | 101 Background and Purpose: Family centered approach becomes the mainstream of early intervention. Promotion of parent-child interaction was considered as an indicator of parenting capacity and achievement of early intervention.The aim of this study was to investigate the inter-rater reliability, the symbol of stability and objectivity of the Parent-Child Interaction Observational Scale (PCIOS). Methods:Two licensed-physical therapists with experiences of clinical pediatric observation as evaluators, forty parents and their children with special needs recruited from Tai-chung city. Two ten-minute tasks, playing blocks and playing balls wereheld in an exclusive room,evaluators observed and scored the video-recorded tapes independently by PCIOS. Scores were analyzed by intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC).Results: Total frequency and behavior-style scores of “cognitive stimulation subscale”, “positive behaviors of parents subscale”,“child behaviors subscale”,“cognitive-operation combined subscales”, ”behaviors of parents combined scales”, “ total scale scores”reached high level of inter-rater reliability.Conclusion:The resultsindicate PCIOS reached high inter-rater reliability when evaluatorsreceived standard trainingprocedures. |
