The numerical simulation of the proton exchange membrane fuel cell can be observed for the fields of the distribution and electrochemical phenomenon inside the fuel cell, which is not easy to observe during some experiments. In this thesis, the 3D single cell numerical model of two-phase flow is proposed to investigate a proton exchange membrane fuel cell with double serpentine flow field. Therefore, the numerical simulation method can be used in this thesis to explore the variances of I-V curve and compare the simulation results with experiment. The factorial factor design of experiment is employed to find out the effects of linear relationship and the interaction among selected factors; this design of experiment confirms the most important factor that is the fuel cell temperature of this fuel cell model. Then, through the Taguchi method further investigating the nonlinear relationship among the factors, the work found out the combination of the best factors level; and combining the ANFIS and GA to find out the combination of the best robust parameters. Finally, comparing the best result with the results of the original experiment and the Taguchi method, the best parameter combination is ANFIS-GA; the result obtained by Taguchi method is the second; the original experiment combination is the last in I-V curve. So the best performance can be obtained through the robust parameter design in this thesis, and it can be also obtained to achieve promoting the efficiency and reducing cost in the PEMFC.
