The purpose of this study is to examine the opinion and willingness of which local farmers adapting organic farming. Purposive sampling was conducted to survey the farmers who attended the government training program. Total of 620 questionnaires were conducted, 415 are returned, recovery rate is 67%. From biography analysis, the major farmers are old .This indicates the overall rural population is aging. Also, the average education of farmers is in high school level. It was found that 65.4% of farmers'' acreage is less than one hectare, and 71.9% of farmers'' income is under NT$400,000.The income is below average. This results poor attraction of young generation to involve in agriculture development of Taiwan. The result of study suggests farmers'' opinion on organic farming scores 3.56 point, which above the median value, thus an indicator willing to adapt organic farming. This creates positive correlation and dependence for younger generation, with higher education level to relate and invest in business. Over 40% farmers express high expectation thus reflects strong willingness to adapt organic farming. The motivation to such choice is created by the fact of which organic farming is “positive to environmental conservation” and “help consumer maintain healthy diet.”On the other hand, those who oppose the idea think the entry investment is too high thus unaffordable, and the adjacent farmland which yet adapt this technique will contaminate organic raised farmland and crops. Respondents also suggest the government should focus on counseling organic production technology, and increase use of organic fertilizer and material, making it the priority. The study also showed that age and education level reflects farmers'' willingness to adapt organic farming. In contrast, no significant difference found related to income and planting acreage. Age group and education level has significantly different point of view regarding organic farming. In addition, income level at below NT$200,000 and those above NT$810,000 also has significant different points of view regarding organic farming.
