Popis: | 100 In this thesis I want to argue that through the Richard Swinburne’s inductive cosmological argument science is not better than religion. Since the way that the religious believer reaches the conclusion that ‘God does exist’ is as tenable as the way in which the scientist reaches their conclusion, it is not necessary to reject either of them. In order to reach the conclusion, I will elaborate how science and religion explain an event at the beginning of my thesis. And, I will compare different cosmological arguments which include, St. Thomas Aquinas’ five way arguments, William Craig’s Kalam argument, Robert Koons’ mereological argument and Richard Swinburne’s inductive cosmological argument. In the final part I argue that science is not better than religion because they share the problem of induction. And the inductive cosmological argument is the most natural argument among the other arguments about the existence of God. So the inductive cosmological argument is the best choice for people who have faith in God. |
