Integration of Digital Archives into Folklore and Tourism: Inquiry of TuasLord Cultural Festival in Taiwan

| Popis: | 100 Due to the fast growing of digital media technology, digital archive should be emphasized by various levels of libraries. Especially, national culture and local folklore for tourism development cannot be excluded either. The purpose of this paper is to study various inquiries of “TuasLord Cultural Festival” in Taiwan which integrates the digital archives and digital media, in order to improve tourism information infrastructures, as well as understanding of local folklore figures. The study is gathered through the methods of participatory observation, interviews, document analysis, as well as recording of digital media. The results show that digital archives provide positive attitudes towards the course, and have a deep understanding of various female figures. Through the digital archives, we can provide the complete record of the “TuasLord Cultural Festival” in Taiwan and support tourists to have a more in-depth knowledge of local cultural festival. |
