Modern buildings are functioned and complex in the way we use them, and also the equipment types and quantities of the buildings are numerous and complicate. Maintenance staff usually needs to bring lots of paper documents to search the position and condition of all fire safety equipments. It is inconvenient and low efficient for staff during the check work. Based on above reasons, we provide a solution using BIM approach for safety equipments management of buildings. When the BIM models of building are established after the construction phase, then the BIM model can be used by maintenance staffs to provide related information and history records and used as reference. With the advantage of 3D model, all the positions of equipment are visualized, and the information can be written and recorded in the BIM model. Then automatically archive list reports and simplify the office computation. With this solution, the maintenance and check routine can be improved also in efficiency and quality. The article also in line with the actual import a case in the mode to work out the mode of assessment form, and by the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to verify the practicality and feasibility of their model, making the consideration of BIM in fire safety equipment maintenance modeperfect.
