Popis: | 101 The thesis is a discussion that how, by involving the term "melancholy" into the conversation of his work, the author's creating process and the root of work the thesis is based upon is called back. The authors' research methodology is based upon his analysis on the mass culture context, meanwhile cultivating on his self-perception as well as memories which inspires him to turn to psychological analysis as his starting point. The author begins the thesis by taking "melancholy" as an signified object while the object also motivates the work. Narcissism is invoked to depict the primal, unsatisfied desire within the author, which later freezes the author in the condition of melancholy and leads him to the stated ofdeficient-ness. In here the author has to point out the desire significantly refers to the essence of (human) beings. What should also be highlighted in the first place is the visual deficient-ness and the its memories evoked indirectly floating in the sub-conscious, which is followed by a discourse on how visual experiences affect the author and make him rely upon these experiences in the hope to close the gap of deficient-ness by the deviated creation of art. The third phase of this thesis is to discuss how the author is assisted by his creation of art and writings of self-recovery to achieve a series of self analysis and practice in order to recognize himself. |
