Popis: | 100 The thesis studies the layout analysis of switching power supply with high efficiency and high power density. This research focuses on the layout analysis of the power-stage circuit from the four aspects of power flow, efficiency, thermal flow, and electromagnetic interference. The layout of the power-stage circuit directly affects overall efficiency. To meet the 80PLUS Platinum efficiency requirement, the layout of the power-stage circuit must be optimized. Therefore, the trace layout between adjacent components must meet the shortest criterion based on the circuit characteristics. The pre-converter and post-converter are respectively a bridgeless converter equipped with power factor correction and a full bridge converter. A bridge rectifier is removed in the power loop of a bridgeless converter, compared to the traditional pre-converter in the power loop. As a result, the saved power loss is the product of effective current and the diode forward voltage. A full bridge converter uses four power MOSFETs to deliver electric energy to the output through a transformer. These power MOSFETs are turned on or off by controllable phase angles to achieve zero-voltage switching (ZVS) for enhancing the overall efficiency. Through the increase of overall efficiency, power losses are reduced, thus significantly reducing the hot spots of power MOSFETs and the internal ambient temperature of switching power supply. It also reduces the space needed for heatsink, thus increasing power density and reducing material cost. Further, the layout of power loop not only possesses the above benefits but also reduces the incurred electromagnetic interference. Keywords:switching power supply, PCB layout, power factor correction, electromagnetic interference, thermal flow. |
