Popis: | 100 Community care stations are formed by community development associations to establish a community of independently operated centers in order to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of public service delivery. In other words, public service resources have been transferred from the government to local community organizations. The study investigated 50 care stations evaluated by the Tainan City Government in 2010. The first research question aims to understand station leaders’ point of view about the collaborative relationship with the care service management center in Tainan City Government. The 23 station leaders were selected by stratified sampling. The second research question aims to explore service recipients’ satisfaction. The study issued 434 questionnaires, including 416 valid questionnaires, and a recovery rate of 96% effective questionnaires. Finally, the analysis results were compared to the 2010 official evaluation results, to identify gaps between the official and private findings. The results of the study are summarized as follows: A. Station leader felt positively towards collaborative relationships. The average scores for ability were the highest and lowest for communication. B. Social participation was rated as lowest and service providers’ skills and attitude as highest in terms of satisfaction rates. The service satisfaction on community care stations were found different due to gender, age, marital status, income, interaction in the recent month with their spouse, neighbors, friends, station providers and receipt of telephone greeting service, care visits service, food service, health promotion activities service in the recent month, and knowledge of station services. C. The service performance assessment failed to completely measure the care center and station’s collaborative relationship and practical quality of community services for the elderly. Based on the findings, the study proposes the following recommendations: A. Policy content delivery. B. The expansion of social participation. C. Promoting the station’s functions. D. Diversification of evaluation items. Keywords: community care stations, collaborative relationship, service satisfaction |
