Applying Trie Algorithm for Braille Input Design with Candidates Improvement of Chinese Strokes Input Method

Everyone may due to aging, organ dysfunction or external factors result in body injury in normal life, and someone is even born with body disabilities. The above users may suffer from select the word in candidate list when using the input method editors(IME) for information transfer. In this paper, a Braille Input Design with Candidates Improvement of Chinese Strokes Input Method is proposed. The Chinese word Trie-Tree data structure and pre-suffix-algorithm were employed to improve efficiency. Users can input the Chinese character without pick the correct one. Our system consists of Text To Speech(TTS) module, it converts Chinese language text into speech in real time. TTS simulates the people who have no speech due to body disability speak the Chinese characters. The novel input pattern is adopted in our IME, that is – a phrase-based input method pattern. That new input method pattern is compatible with the original one. Finally, the User performance data show that novel Chinese Strokes input method is 3% in Error Rate, that is better than traditional one(12%).
