Popis: | 100 Reading concerns the competitiveness of individuals and the entire nation. There is such a necessity to promote reading activities. Traditional reading instructions can no longer satisfy the needs of modern education. It is now necessary to place students in the center of planning and instruction of reading courses. The purpose of this study was to design a reading activity plan for the case class. By allowing students in this class to participate in the design process. This study attempted to work out a student-centered plan that can better meet the needs of students and increase the effectiveness of reading instructions. The focus-group interview method was adopted. First of all, this study summarized 20 types of classroom reading activities from related literature and students’ opinions and then compiled a “priority choice questionnaire” to rank the reading activities. Based on the first eight activities, this study developed an AHP questionnaire. The weight of each activity was analyzed using Expert Choice. Results showed reading with afternoon tea (30.3%) was most weighted, followed by outdoor reading (17.6%), creative writing and acting (12.3%), e-reading instruction (11.7%), book sharing (9.9%), answering questions to win a prize (7.6%), adaptation (5.5%), and book flea market (5.1%). According to the above results, this study proposed a draft plan of classroom reading activities. Finally, this study applied interpretive structural modeling (ISM) and focus-group interview to obtain the final plan of student-centered classroom reading activities. This research development process could be a reference for teachers in promoting classroom reading instructions. |
