Popis: | 100 Interest groups, which function as interest aggregation, are a consequential product of a democratic society.With the diversification of society, they are dispersed in different sectors, and organized with the same aim as to aggregate interest advocacies and thereby make a claim for demands to be met with interests. The process that is, in the long run, in hope of having an influence on administrative or legislative policies, is a necessary evolution in democratic politics. The study is a case study grounded on Kuokuang Petrochemical Project. To gain understanding of the mold by which nonprofit interest groups affect the related development policies and offer suggestions, this study is to investigate how interest groups showcase interest articulation via activities and policies by lobbying and communicating with the administrative or legislative organizations to affect policy formation. To reach the purpose, the methods adopted in the study embrace 1. Document analysis, including foreign and domestic books, journals,theses, newspapers and relevant information on the Internet. 2. Case study: Kuokuang Petrochemical Project as the subject. 3. In-depth interview: Fangyuan Self-salvation Organization Against Pollution, TEPUCD, Taiwan Academy of Ecology, The Society of Widerness, Laiho culture foundation, Matsu’s Fish Conservation Union, Taiwan Environmental Information Association, Wild at Heart Legal Defense Association, National Youth Alliance Against KuoKuang Petrochemical Project. |
