A Study on Relationship Between Local Tourism Industry Management and Industrial Development：A Case Study of West Lake Resortopia

| Popis: | 100 Because of its considerable investment and expenses, more and more large-scale tourism has been developed to promote local industry. Taking the West Lake resortopia as a case, this study not only collected and analyzed related information to get well know about the history and status quo of the industrial development of Sanyi Township, Miaoli County, but also analyzed the influence of the West Lake resortopia on local related industries including promoting their self-development through the tourist characteristic and function. Moreover, from the perspective of the value co-creation, this study also explored the value generated by the interaction between large-scale tourist industry and related participants, and finally to establish a co-development model for the local tourism and other local industries. This study analyzed the deep interview with 15 respondents and figured out that when the local tourism was immature, a large-invested construction promote its popularity as well as its tourist image to strengthen the tourist development. However, most large tourism investment belonged to the private business mainly focusing on their own interests, most of which only brought out indirect benefits for the local related industries. On the other hand, the result showed that local activities organized by the government could be regarded as the trigger point of value co-creation. The regional resource integration through the mutual collaboration among the government, the local and large-scale tourist industries could create more value. In the near future, when the government quitted the value chain of activity, the large tourism industry could fully play its professional role as a facilitator to collaborate with other local industries to carry on the co-creation value and host the activities of public praise, in order to push the overall local industrial development. |
