Study on optimization of CW 42GS WEDM process parameters

| Popis: | 100 It is difficult to choose WEDM (wire electrical discharge machining) parameter, because they are complicated. Although the manufactures will provide the technology supplements for operating WEDM, the user still need the experience and technique for choosing operating parameters in different materials and scopes. When one chooses the parameters to operate WEDM (wire electrical discharge machining), the most concerns for him are that the parameters are conservatively enough to prevent the damaging of machine or not. In this study, the Taguchi Method was used to build the relationship between machining parameters and the characteristics of finishing products which are the removal rate, the machining gap, and the surface roughness. The optima machining parameters for these three characteristics of finishing products were found and the linear relationship between machining parameters and the characteristics were obtained by using Chebyshev polynomial equation. |
