A Study on Vehicle Driving State Auto-Feedback Systems

This thesis presents a vehicle driving state auto-feedback systems (VDSAFS) to enhance the security of vehicle driving. When a vehicle is driven on the road, people can not make the most appropriate contingency measures, because of careless or a dead space taken place in front of drivers. Therefore, the accident is arisen, which leads to vehicle damages and, more seriously, causes the danger of the life. Currently, vehicle safety equipment has been developed very advanced. Some vehicle factories also develop active braking system to avoid the case when the drivers are driving on the road and do not pay attention to the road conditions, a pedestrian or vehicle appeared suddenly or the case of failing to maintain a safe distance from the environment, the vehicle can be forced to activate braking system to reduce the occurrence of an accident. The design of existing vehicle only performs assistant protection for current moved direction. For the case of turning or consecutive turning, in addition to part of the vehicle lightings installed with adaptive front lighting system (AFS), the function that vehicle pre-judges and analyzes the road environment for drivers before turning is relatively rare. This thesis then proposes a VDSAFS to enhance the security of vehicle driving. Through connecting between microcontroller (MCU) and electronic sensors, the system can analyze and verify the feedback signals transmitted from sensor to judge when the vehicle will enter the next turning. It immediately informs the vehicle computer to perform protective measures and then prevent the possibility of car accident. Such stand-alone system connects with vehicle computer by the way of near artificial intelligence. It not only does not increase the loading of the original vehicle computer, but also enhance the security of vehicles. The structure of the proposed system is simple, components are obtained easily, cost is low, and it has high compatibility with factory. It can be connected and used immediately, only to identify the communication format between VDSAFS and vehicle computer. Hence, VDSAFS is capable of commercializing at once.
