Popis: | 100 The homoeostasis of trace elements and status of oxidative stress play important roles in the progressing of chronic kidney disease. The aims of the present study were to determine the levels of some essential trace elements and oxidative stress-related biomarker in blood and urine of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and to evaluate the possible correlation between the parameters of interest. In this study, the levels of iron, copper, zinc, selenium and malondialdehyde in CKD patients of various stages were determined and the possible relationship between trace elements, oxidative stress marker and some parameters (gender, diabetic mellitus, hypertension) was evaluated. The results of the present study indicate that (1) the serum zinc level is significantly lower when the stage progression, (2) the serum copper level in women is higher than in men with statistical significance (p |
