Popis: | 100 A STUDY OF THE CORRELATION BETWEEN WORK STRESS AND INTENTION TO STAY OF THE PART-TIME COUNSELING TEACHERS OF THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IN NEW TAIPEI CITY LEE, HUI-CHEN ABSTRACT The main purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between work stress and intention to stay of the part-time counseling teachers of the elementary schools in New Taipei City, to explore the differences between work stress and intention to stay. The participants were selected from the elementary teachers who serve as part-time counseling in New Taipei City. Data were collected by 272 valid questionnaires among a total of 341 distributions. The statistical analysis were descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson production-moment correlation, and multiple stepwise regression analysis. The research obtained conclusions as follows: 1. The part-time counseling teachers present the highest level of work stress in “heavy workload”. 2. The overall intention to stay on the part-time counseling teachers is moderate. 3. There was significant difference on the resources of work stress within various ages, professional counseling. 4. There was no significant difference on the resources of intention to stay within various genders, ages recent working years, positions, professional counseling and school scale. 5. There was significant negative correlation between the work stress and intention to stay of the part-time counseling of the elementary schools in New Taipei City. 6. The work stress have significant prediction on the part-time counseling teachers' intention to stay in New Taipei City. Based on the above findings, in this study, suggestions for educational administration, the part-time counseling teachers and further studies.
