| Popis: | 100 During the procedure of creating, artists express their personal thoughts, feelings, concepts, and their inner images by using various kinds of suitable media, so the works are a reflection of their inner life. On the discussion of the paintings, Border Series, I intended to capture the mentality as crossing the borders during my travels these years. In the thesis, there were 32 paintings in total, which were divided into five series ── homesickness, expectancy, playing, homeward journey, and contemplation. Reviewed the theoretical approach and literature. And also explored the theory of the semiotic experts, Ferdinand de Saussure, Charles Sanders Peirce, Ernst Cassirer, and Susanne K, Langer. Besides, I chose two artists, Marc Chagall and Jackson Pollock as my study objects. In terms of creating forms, I chose oil paintings, various acrylic paste as media, and performed them in abstract and semi-abstract ways.
