Resistivity Variation of Single ZnO Nanowire Under Normal Strain

The purpose of this research is to develop a measurement methodology for a single nanowire based on nano manipulation system, which electrode covers both end of the nanowires. This method can measure the changing of the resistivity and strain of ZnO nanowire. The experimental use a set of self-developed platform, AFM cantilever and ZnO nanowire which is placed inside vacuum chamber of SEM. The strain of the cantilever beam is calculated from images of SEM, and the changing of resistivity is measured by wheatstone bridge at the same time. Experimental result demonstrates the resistivity is between 0.227Ω.cm and 0.214Ω.cm whereas the strain is from -3.1% to 5.5%.
