Construction and Application of Management Information System for Slope Land Preservation in New Taipei City

| Popis: | 100 With its high population density and limited land resources, some areas in Taiwan suffer from slopeland disaster due to improper land development. Slopeland conservation and disaster prevention have become very important issues for the New Taipei City Government and private sectors. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a regional slopeland management information system to strengthen slopeland monitoring and management and to reduce disaster. In this study, the research area is New Taipei City. The proposed slopeland management information system incorporates disaster prevention and land resources management, planning and decision with geographic information system, management information system, database system, internet and mobile information technology. The countermeasures for slopeland conservation and management are propounded. The results show that the established slopeland management information system can be employed by the competent authorities to enhance the efficiency of investigation, reporting and crackdowns on illegal usage of slopelands and to facilitate slopeland administration. |
