This thesis examines the development trend of Kinmen tourism related issues from the viewpoint of globalization. After analyzing relevant literature and interviewing, the summarized conclusions are as follows: First, the advantages of Kinmen tourism development are: unique geography, rich tourism resources, relaxed living environment and abundant marine resources. Second, the difficulties of Kinmen tourism development are: lack of tourism infrastructure, unsatisfactorily service quality, insufficiently dynamic and experiential activities, inconvenient transportation and high price of airplane ticket, unstable cross-strait policy and military restrictions. Third, In the future, Kinmen tourism not only needs to combine traditional and modern differences, but also have to consider both dynamic and static demand. Besides, Kinmen need to gather local and global edge together and develop towards a "culture of intellectual tourism", "tourism shopping and sightseeing," "Sea pleasure and sports place" "legal gambling island" to meet the trend of globalization and to satisfy different needs of tourists travel purposes.
