| Popis: | 99 The purpose of this study is to examine the connection between the firm performance and the board structure of Taiwan listed company. Our research is basing on the previous literatures and using a sample of nearly 700 Taiwan listed companies from 2000 to 2009. We believe that the determinants of board structure have great effect on firm performance so we use the two-stage least squares (2SLS) regression to estimate our model in a simultaneous equation framework. Based on our empirical results, we find that the board size is not significant related to the firm performance but it is positively related to the firm complexity. Moreover, the structure of corporate board is also related to the firm performance. |
