Medical clip is an important part of Patient Handling Sling. It must be provided with high and identical bearing capacity. It was composed of PA (polyamide) and manufactured by injection molding. In this study, Melt-Flipper to research was used for the injection mold. And Taguchi method (L18 orthogonal arrays) was employed to planning the injection parameters including the control factors and its levels. The influence of injection molding parameters will affect on the tensile strength of Medical Clip. The optimize injection parameters will be investigated the tensile strength of Medical Clip. Finally, the analysis of variance was used to find the significant factors which affect the tensile strength. Results show the melt temperature, the stage-I injection speed, and the packing time are the main significant factors that affect the tensile strength of the Medical Clip. The optimizing process parameter are the melt temperature 250 ℃, the first injection speed 30%, the stage-II injection speed 70%, the stage-II injection pressure 95 bar, packing pressure 25 bar, packing time 3 sec, the mold temperature 40 ℃ and cooling time 30 sec. Through the confirmed experiments, the average bearing capacity of original process design was 2.72 kN, and the optimize process was 4.35 kN, the average bearing capacity enhance 1.63 kN.
