The Ministry of Defence (Taiwan) has always been employing the ‘ready in times of need’ pproach for the country’s military. The main objective of this approach would be to strengthen the country’s military ability to react and response immediately to any immediate breakout of war. The military servants (veterans) are the nation’s stronghold to defence. The wellness of its management would therefore bring about a direct impact on the military’s strategic ability to defend the nation; hence also reflecting on the nation’s ability to defend itself. Therefore, the importance of the management and the quality of service for the nation’s veterans, could not be taken lightly. Especially when the quality of service for the veterans (in all prefectures) could directly influence on their commitment for the country – attributing to the nation’s military ability and performance, as a whole. This is thus the motivation for this analytical study. This study was being carried out to understand the quality of service in the Kaohsiung City Resevue Command ; and was being conducted on the veterans who had been to the Kaohsiung City Resevue Command for their work commitments. The survey questionnaire was being distributed to the veterans via random pick. Out of the 500 questionnaires being handed out; 482 copies were being collected back – out of these which 46 copies were incomplete, which therefore only left 436 copies that are considered valid. The rate for the valid returned survey questionnaire is 87%.The survey questionnaires were finely filtered through careful analysis – using 4 different methods of analysis. This is to ensure the most precise outcome from this survey. The conclusion for this analytical study is that: • There is a significant difference in the expectation for the quality of service in the amongst different ranks of veterans. • There is a significant difference in the experience for the quality of service in the Kaohsiung City Resevue Command amongst the different ranks and different educational level of veterans. • There is a significant difference in both the expectation and experience at the Kaohsiung City Resevue Command from the veterans. • There is a significant connection between the veterans’ expectation for the quality of service at the Kaohsiung City Resevue Command, and the overall satisfaction experience.
