A Study on the Key Performance Evaluation Indexes for Information Department by Analytic Hierarchy Process

Accompanying by the time changing and firms’ reformation, information departments have played an important role these days. It becomes an essential issue for a firm to evaluate performance of an information department. This research is mainly based on Balanced Scorecard, and is according to characteristics of information departments, referring to related documents and other practical analysis. Moreover, the research is combined with the research on financial, customer, and interior procedures, learning and growth, and quality evaluation. In order to derive the results,The law of experts focus discussion have bean adopted to research the achievement index, following by using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to find out the specific weight for each individual aspect. This research focus as on the service industry and manufacturing industry, showing that the level of the importance on aspects for the service industry are the accuracy of the output information (0.076382), the satisfactory of a project (0.074694), the accuracy of a system (0.073850), the security of the information (0.055704), and the efficiency of a system (0.051906). Moreover, the level of the importance on aspects for the manufacturing industry are the accuracy of the output information (0.094400), the accuracy of a system (0.057600), the extra efficiency that is created by an information department (0.052891), the confidence of a system (0.043840), and the error rate of an information system (0.040132). According to my conclusion, it provides a firm several reference on evaluating performance.
