Bohuslav Martinu (1890-1959) was one of the most influential Czech composers in the 20th century. His variable styles and dramatic way of composing form unique elements in his music. This thesis will discuss the background of the composer, his music style, and also provide researcher’s personal viewpoints in interpreting performance through analyzing music pieces in terms of the structures and ways of creating music.
