Popis: | 99 With the fast growth of B&B business, a large amount of B&B operators try to get involved with the business causing the market to gradually become a saturated market. Owing to the increasing amount of B&B business, the operators not only have to compete with one another, but some need to stop businesses because of bad managements. It has become a major concern for B&B business operators to take account of successful strategies on running businesses under such competing market. Therefore, this study examines the effects of operating strategies through the B&B operators’ background. Aside from reference reviews, this study uses purposive sampling, drawing 12 B&B operators who are still in the B&B business for in-depth analytical interviews. The result shows that B&B operators consider their past work experiences have been of practical help in their businesses. The operating strategies and marketing cognition as well as applications differ with past experiences. This study categorizes four kinds of B&B operating situations and trends. First, retired people who continue to work, second, people who work continuously though business is not good, third, people who work for sustaining tradition, and last one, people who work without asking how much they gain. Through the perspectives of B&B operators, we find out that B&B business is not as profitable as we expect. The operators have to assess their financial abilities; they also have traits of willingness to serve people, and find their position as well as uniqueness to stand out in a nearly saturated market, so as to make profits. In addition, through the analysis of this study, we also provide specific suggestions to help B&B operators to reconsider the confronting situation and conquer problems for those who try to get involved in the business. |
