A Fabrication of D-shaped Fiber Bragg Grating

In this thesis, we proposed a method to fabricate a D shaped fiber filter of Bragg grating on the surface using a nano-in-print technology. First, a multi-mode fiber was side-published to form the D-shaped optical fiber. Second, the photolithography and holographic interference lithography technologies were used to fabricate a grating master mold; then, a PDMS rubber was spun on the grating master mold to transfer the grating pattern onto the surface of the D-shaped fiber by using a nano-in-print technology. Finally, the optical characteristics of the filter was measured using an optical spectrum analyzer. The grating profile on the D-shaped fiber was measured in terms of AFM as well.
