Popis: | 99 With the flourishing of the Internet and the growth of its users, the digital content industry is rapidly emerging. This industry, in general, is Telecommunication operator and digital content provider work together to digitalize various types of contents such as music, pictures, texts, videos etc., and then provide those digital contents as value-added services on website, mobile platform, or Web TV. Hence, the market of this industry includes three main sections: website, mobile phone and Web TV. Among the three, the website one was the earliest to develop and now is the most mature. As for the mobile phone, due to the use of Smart Phone, its market of value-added services has been vigorously expanding in the past few years. Briefly, digital value-added services, no matter for website or mobile phone, are mainly supplied under the cooperation of telecommunication operator and content provider. This research is conducted by a telecom specialist, from the perspective of a telecommunication operator, through observation and interviews, in order to investigate the relationship with a long-term outsourcing content provider. The cooperation, in terms of its variable process, can be divided into four stages. They are outsourcing implementation, professional service, service combination, and reinvestment. The variation was discussed from the view of economics, and meantime theories like information outsourcing, social capital, resource dependence and relation network were also verified. Moreover, action research was used to analyze this case, for further discussing how the adjustments for those changes were made, and how new business mode was found accordingly. The results obtained from this study point to several conclusions. First, outsourcing leads to new relation network. Second, self-built platform can be a solution to the dependence on strong tie-based network. Third, proper social capital enhances diverse relation network. Fourth, the role of an enterprise may change when its relation network varies. |
