| Popis: | 99 This paper investigates into the current status of professional development requirements and professional competency of health and physical education. We conduct a study on elementary school teachers in Penghu County in order to analyze the predictive power of different background factors and professional development requirements for professional competency. We use a survey method and send out 438 questionnaires to elementary school teachers in Penghu. We collect 378 effective samples and end up with a collection rate of 86.3%. We conduct statistical analysis on the data using independent t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression. The research findings are as follows.
