Popis: | 99 Memory is a proof of one’s existence, a necessary element for affective composition, and a carrier for spiritual connection between people. Memory, like the braids of the Navi in Avatar, begins transmitting messages immediately when one end connects with the other. The texture, brushwork, and the arrangement of light and shade of a painting enable the viewers to enter into its story. Whether the viewer has found a familiar resonance or is touched by the viewing, reading a work provides viewers with opportunities to contemplate. Departing from memory, the author describes what she feels inside and invites the viewers to take a retrospective look at themselves as well. Raid technological developments has brought sudden changes to the environment we live in: social alienation, drastic consumption, changing things, loose values…the attitude of pursuing simple pleasures in life has become an alternative fashion; simplicity is a rare luxury, and slow living is a permanent spiritual yearning. As life can be returned to a simple state, the author of the study adopts the concept of reduction and non-realistic approach to capture the codes of simplicity and individual creative components, in the process establishing a new creative path and picture syntax. This study uses the process of image code reduction. From concrete to abstract forms of creation, from mind quenching to exploring personal painting style, the author discovers all aspects of life through dissociating herself from the real world, at the same time enriching the aesthetic values of the painting through literature review of Minimal Art.
