The Relationships of Development Trend and Co-optive on The Cross-Strait Manufacturing Industry

| Popis: | 99 China has shown significant growth of economy after economic reform. China has become the largest exporter with strong economic strength. The aim of this study establishes the cross-strait industrial development trend indicators to analyze the international market trends of cross-strait manufacturing industry comparative advantage. The Empirical period is from 1999 to 2008. The main findings are as follows: (1)The most advantage industry of Taiwan’s manufacturing industries is chemical material manufacturing industry in the future. (2)Taiwan and China compete with each other in threatened manufacturing industries, including electronic parts and components manufacturing, manufacturing not elsewhere classified, fabricated metal products manufacturing, textiles mills, plastic products manufacturing, petroleum and coal products manufacturing industries. (3)China has seven most comparative advantage industries, such as electrical equipment manufacturing industry. (4)Both sides competing with each other under unknown future situation have twelve manufacturing industries. |
